HOBBY: A diversion, favorite occupation, leisure activity or
pursuit, pastime, relaxation, or sideline.  Word history: Hobby
is a shortened form of "hobbyhorse". A person with a hobby was
thought to pursue a favorite pastime or obsession with the
single-minded zeal of a child riding a hobbyhorse.

ADDICT: To surrender oneself habitually or compulsively to
something.

GENEALOGY & QUILTING. These hobbies have been my favorite
interests which I have felt were another form of addiction. Each
one has filled and consumed many enjoyable hours.  Genealogy and
quilting are hobbies shared by many people. We are fortunate to
have to so many things a person can develop an interest in. I
recommend that everyone should find a favorite activity and
pursue it with gusto!
